Dr. Fatma Ismail is an Egyptian-American Egyptologist, archaeologist, and ethnographer with a strong interdisciplinary approach to her work. She’s also a cultural heritage professional with years of experience working in the field of Education, Development, and Outreach.

She’s based in the Washington DC-Baltimore Area- USA

Having received her Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, she has extensive experience participating in archaeological excavations and curating Museum exhibitions at prestigious institutions. Dr. Ismail strives to connect people and cultures through her knowledge of ancient Mediterranean history, early religions, Islam, and the civilizations of North Africa and the Near East. As an educator, she has taught at renowned colleges in Egypt and the US and currently serves as the US Director for Outreach and Programs at the American Research Center in Egypt, furthering her commitment to sharing her expertise and bridging cultural divides.

She currently is the US Director for Outreach and Programs at the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE.org), and the Founder and President of the Egyptian Egyptology Project (www.egyptianegyptology.org)
